The Criminal Justice Center at 1301 Filbert Street houses criminal courtrooms, the District Attorney's offices, and related functions. The building, completed in 1995, consolidated criminal court operations that had been scattered across multiple locations. Security screening, detention facilities, and support services enable the building to function as a self-contained criminal justice complex.<ref name="courts"/>

City Hall contains civil courtrooms, judges' chambers, and administrative offices. The historic building's courtrooms provide ornate settings for civil litigation, though space constraints and building age present ongoing challenges. Family Court operates from its own facility at 1501 Arch Street, while various specialized operations occupy other locations.<ref name="courts"/>
