A Philadelphia native, Staley is widely regarded as one of the greatest point guards in women's basketball history and has become the sport's most successful active coach.

== Early Life in Philadelphia ==

Staley grew up in the Raymond Rosen housing projects in [[North Philadelphia]], one of the city's most challenging neighborhoods.
