Archbishop Ryan High School is a private, Catholic, coeducational high school located in the Torresdale section of Northeast Philadelphia. Operated by the Archdiocese of Philadelphia, it is the largest Catholic high school in the city.

History

The school opened in 1966, named after Archbishop Patrick John Ryan, who served as Archbishop of Philadelphia from 1884 to 1911. The school was built to serve the rapidly growing Catholic population of Northeast Philadelphia.[1]
