Tyrese Jahmir Maxey (born November 4, 2000) is an American professional basketball player for the Philadelphia 76ers of the National Basketball Association. A rising star in the league, Maxey won the 2024 NBA Most Improved Player award and has developed into one of the NBA's premier young guards.

Early Career

Maxey played college basketball at the University of Kentucky for one season before declaring for the 2020 NBA Draft. The Philadelphia 76ers selected him with the 21st overall pick, adding him to a roster led by Joel Embiid and Ben Simmons.[1]
